VOX-Pickup
VOX was in the sixties with tube amplifiers famous but also has E-Guitars
distributed. The below HDC-77 comes not from those days it is a
new development. Also the pickup is new - supposedly. "Planetz" in a
interview the VOX chief designer Eric Kirkland as the "inventor of the CoAxe Pickup",
and explains:
While there are many good-sounding humbucking and stacked "single-coil"
Pickup available, they are generally limited to one good noise-canceling microphone sound.
The unique
magnetic structure and tapped coils of the VOX CoAxe offer both the power of a traditional
humbucker and the high frequency detail of a true single coil - and the most effective noise
canceling available in a passive pickup
. This is not entirely wrong: the hum suppression
is impressive, the volume. The Sound? Should either as a fender single-
Coil, or a P90 or a humbucker blades. Should - unfortunately he knows it is not.
The characteristic of a humbuckers is the strings scanning at two
. The P90 and
the Fender single coil buttons on a
place the CoAxe instead at three
. How will the
both CoAxe P90 as well as humbucker emulate if its magnetic field not switched
be Used? Only his coils are switchable (tapped) - a weak effect: 2.5 dB
Level change and 20% shift to resonance. In humbucker mode is only a
items-RC circuit (100 k
Ω
, 1.5 nF) parallel to the pickup position. (Two monster sound-
Ter with together 28 tracks). And this is from a P90 a humbucker?
Nee, almost there is also missed. The CoAxe is good, but unlike the targeted pre-
Images. You can like or not. And one more thing: Completely new is it not, see
aaroe-Patent, 1981 logged in.
